The Newmarket Cambridgeshire Meeting is a 3-day event which starts on Thursday 22nd September and ends on Saturday 24th September.
Friday hosts two Group 2 races, the Rockfel Stakes and the Joel Stakes.

Here are the second day of the Cambridgeshire [year] Meeting races.
13:50 – Rosemary Stakes
The [year] Rosemary Stakes is a Class 1 race for Fillies’ and Mares’ aged 3 and over.
The 1:50 pm listed race holds a total distance of 1 mile.
14:25 – Princess Royal Stakes (Fillies’ & Mares’ Group 3) (Class 1) (3YO plus) 1m 4f
The 2:25 pm [year] Princess Royal Stakes is a Group 3 race for fillies and mares aged three or older over a mile and a half.

15:00 – Al Basti Equiworld, Dubai Rockfel Stakes (Fillies’ Group 2) (Class 1) (2YO only) 7f
The 3:00 pm [year] Rockfel Stakes is a Group 2 race for two-year-old fillies over seven furlongs.
It is named after the winner of the 1000 Guineas and Epsom Oaks in 1938.
It was part of Future Champions Day in 2011 but exchanged places in the calendar with the Group 1 Fillies’ Mile in 2014. It is a recognised trial for next season’s 1000 Guineas with Musical Bliss (1988), Lahan (1999), Speciosa (2005) and Finsceal Beo (2006) winning both races.
15:35 – Al Basti Equiworld, Dubai Joel Stakes (Group 2) (Str) (Class 1) (3YO plus) 1m
The 3:35 pm [year] Group 2 Joel Stakes is for three-year-olds and upwards over a mile.
The race was first run in 1987 as the Main Reef Stakes but later renamed in honour of the owner of that horse who passed away in 1992.
The race always attracts some high-class milers including multiple Group 1 winner Benbatl (2019) and 2000 Guineas winner Kameko (2020).
16:10 – Al Basti Equiworld, Dubai British EBF ‘Confined’ Maiden Stakes (C & G) (Class 4) (2YO only) 7f
The Dubai British EBF ‘Confined’ Maiden Stakes is run at 4:10 pm.
This Class 4 race is open to horses aged 2 only and runs a distance of 7 furlongs.
16:45 – Godolphin Stakes (Listed) (Class 1) (3YO plus) 1m 4f
The [year] Godolphin Stakes is a listed class 1 race for horses aged 3 and over.
The 4:45 pm race runs a total distance of 1 mile and 4 furlongs.
17:20 – Al Basti Equiworld, Dubai Handicap (Class 3) (3YO plus) 1m 1f
The final race of the day is the Al Basti Equiworld, Dubai Handicap.
This class 3 race is run at 5:20 pm and holds a distance of 1 mile and 1 furlong. This race is held for horses aged 3.
